Linus Torvald was an American software engineer that developed the idea of the Linux Kernal. Linus
was born in Finland and later moved to the United States. He attended college in Finland and later got a masters degree in Computer Science. He is known for his most famous invention the Linux Kernal. Forbes magazine holds such a high esteem for Linus cause they believe just like many other people that he has made many more inventions in his day but this was the piece of work that made him at he is the greatest programmer ever. It made him famous. He has been a programmer for 21 years, so you could say he knows what he's doing in the programming field. Linus wanted to create a free software for programmers. Linux is an operating system that evolved from a kernel . Linux is not like a word processing program. It is a interface between computer serving, hardware and the programs that run on it. This was created in 1991. Linux is used by a variety of programming users, and it brings a different way of programming to the table. But, like everything good there has to be some bad to it, like disadvantages. Some advantages of Linux are it is easy to use, very user friendly, it doesn't crash, it has a free software and it also runs on old machines. Some disadvantages of Linux are some incompatibility issues, and also its different working mechanisms. I believe that he is the best programmer ever because out of all the information I have looked up about programming I found the most information on him and I have liked a lot of his work he has done.

i liked your post, i thought it was well put together and i learned somethings from it. I like how you mentioned it is user friendly and it works on older devices. I also liked how you mentioned his programming history and how he has been programming for awhile 21 years. Great post, i thought you did a good job.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting about my blog! I appreciate the nice things you had to say about my blog. I like that you liked how i talked about how it works on older devices, because not everyone has the newest device out there, and yes i talked about the history i thought it was important to show his background and where he came from. I look forward to reading your posts in the future, and share our opinions and factual information on different topics to come!
ReplyDeleteInteresting post. It very informative. I learned some new things and the post is well organized, very nice. Just curious is it 21 or 22 years? Both numbers have been flying around not sure which one is right. I found a couple of sources saying 21 but found a couple saying 22 also and other said about 20. I do agree with you, he is one of the greatest programmers that ever lived. I just can’t get over the fact he gave it away for free.
ReplyDeleteLinus actually has been a programmer for 34 years. He started programming when he was only 10 years old.Come see my blog part2. http://irelandblogallaboutitresponse.blogspot.com/2013/11/responsemireland-second-half.html
